Be my guest : Andy Goldworthy, Alan Watts and trees

BE MY GUEST is a venue for others to share their art; I assemble between creators in my sitting room. Linear time and  locality are not relevant.

Andy Galsworthy’s modest art was on my mind on my last trip to Kyoto; I was thinking of him while counting and lining up ten leaves, and when I placed seven branches on the path to a Shinto shrine.

He says here: ” When I make a work, I often take it to it’s very edge of it’s collapse, and that’s a beautiful balance.”

Alan Watts: “Everything wiggles.”

I try to imagine the wonderful conversation, probably under a tree, they will have if they meet. I would be a leaf.

I WOULD LOVE IT IF ANY OF THEM WOULD LIKE TO TAKE PART IN MY FUTURE PROJECT: Reviving Ancient Alexandria Library

I was strolling around the Shimogamo Shrine in Kyoto. It was a book market day. I noticed a booklet with Japanese text and Western calculations.
