Amy Thomas is an editor. <\/span><\/p>\n She is the editor of my latest books.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I shared my longing for the Ancient Alexandrian Library and Sappho’s burned poems with her.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n During that Zoom meeting, she pulled a book from the shelf and read to me from Anne Carson’s edition of Sappho’s fragments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Amy wrote about Lacuna<\/a>\u00a0and linked it to longing.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Since then, I have filled my lacunas by strolling in<\/span> the valley near home <\/span>with <\/span>Ann Carson readings plugged into my ears.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n I believe these three women would enjoy meeting and sharing impressions of leaves, wind, and water ponds in the metaphorical process of reviving the ancient Alexandrian Library into pixels. <\/span><\/p>\n I would gladly serve them tea.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Anne Carson,\u00a0 A Lecture on Corners<\/a><\/p>\n Amy Thomas’s blog<\/a><\/p>\n Books edited by Amy Thomas:<\/p>\n
