War Diary Mixed media on wood, 2006-2007
These documentary works were created in the summer of 2006 during the second Lebanon war. Text messages from the men in the battle field are part of the iconography of this series. Additionally, there are cypress trees, a Mediterranean symbol for eternity and death, and boxes that represent sarcophagus. This series conveys the notion of a very significant place, a place of extreme pain and great love.
